ENTRY
On February 20, 2016, one day before I left my home in Brooklyn, New York for good, I presented my first solo performance with space and support from Athena Kokoronis, John Haskell, and their daughter at the Domestic Performance Agency.
The material for this work, Entry, was initiated by my desire to define my own research, which centers on cycles of change and seeks an entry point into performance as process. I spent time in residence with the Domestic Performance Agency’s family unit (founding artist Athena, John, and their daughter) witnessing and engaging in their daily routines, fascinations, and histories. All family members participated in the performance.
