HEAVEN VISUAL DESCRIPTIONS

Visual descriptions are offered below for my work, Heaven

There is a view from inside a moving vehicle on a highway, with many clouds in the sky above the horizon. Quickly this view shifts to an individual in a dark rough space that looks like some sort of shed. They are a white femme. They have long brown hair and white overalls on. Their shirt reflects the video of the sky and power lines, passing by quickly. The individual raises up an arm and lean backwards. The scene flashes back to the full view of the highway with clouds. 

The next cut shows a close up of overlaid video. Its hard to parse out what is happening where, but an image of hair, grass, and a house appears, and seems to be reflected in some sort of fabric. The view shifts and we see and individual's feet in purple hiking books on dirt floor. On their shirt is the spinning image of dirt floor, a ladder, and a face.

In the next cut, the words "HEAVEN" appear in all caps on a black screen. The next slide says "IS A MEETING" (with the "a" spaced very far away). The black screen disappears and reveals a close up image of a prism with greenery behind it. 

The next montage includes text on a black screen. The text is thick and bold, and through it you can see an individual body doing some things. They are wearing turquoise. They move the video camera to reveal images of spiderwebs and dead bugs in a windowsill through the text. The text reads as follows: 

WHEN I WAS VERY YOUNG

I COULD FEEL INFINITY COMING BACK FOR ME

I SWEAR I COULD

(black screen) 

AND WHEN IT CAME FOR ME

I THOUGHT I WOULD DISAPPEAR

INTO THE VASTNESS OF SPACE

The cut reveals a textured image of brown grass and what seems like a reflection of a vintage photo of two femmes. Only the tops of their heads are visible, with their blown out 80's hairstyles. A body in blue jeans and a brown shirt rolls through the grass towards the camera. It disappears, leaving just the blurry image of two femmes. 

The next cut reveals a light bulb turning off and on. The third time it is turned on, it is replaced by a white hand holding a lime that is cut in half. The pith of the lime reflects the light being turned on and off. 

In the next image appears the leaves of some sort of plant against a white wall. We can see through the leaves, as if they are cut out, to another image of ants on a tile floor crowing around a mysterious piece of sludge.

The next cut reveals a view of a doorframe and a small rectangular stained glass window above it. On the wall around the door, there is the image of hair and debris being pulled up. Another couple shots of the door reveal it as externally viewed through the angular frame of a small corridor. The wall surrounding the door is white with fingernails and toenails slowly bouncing and vibrating up and down.  

The next cut reveals the same fingernails and toenails bouncing up and down and vibrating slowly, but this time they appear through the leaves of a small indoor plant. The camera view pans up and down the plant, with its large leaves. However, the leaves are not green. They appear as if cut out to reveal the toenails and fingernails inside of them. 

The next cut reveals an outhouse in between two trees. The outhouse has a label on it that says "United" and "1-800-TOILETS." The surface of the outhouse reflects a white masculine person's face. The face disappears from view and another face is revealed briefly.

The next cut shows a dark hole. The camera pans away to show debris and stains around the hole of a drain. 

The next cut pans across a lengthy spiders nest in a window sill, containing the carcasses of many bugs that have been caught and wrapped up over a period of time. 

The next cut shows a white rose bobbing in the breeze. Just a bit of its yellow pollen is visible from within its petals, where there are a few drops of dew. 

The next cut is confusing. It shows and arching pathway with people walking on it, an arial shot. But instead of ground around the pathway, the earth reveals another image of a white person in a turquoise shirt, black shorts, and hiking boots jumping and smacking their legs together on a dirt floor of an interior space. This image is inverted, as if they are jumping on the ceiling. Dust flies. There is a ladder in the background. We can't see their head. 

The next quick cut is an image of a pink rose with dew on its petals. The following cut is a purple rose bobbing in the breeze. The third cut is a few of a bright pink rose, but in one of its leaves is the moving image of the white femme person, depicted upside down again in the green shirt. Their face is visible and they bend over and stand u.

The next cut is reveals the fingertips of a light-skinned hand. The hand comes into full view, revealing peeling skin around the thumb. The hand flips over, and much peeling skin is visible on its palm. 

The next cut shows a white person sitting in a field of clovers, but the clovers are an unnatural faded color. The person is wearing white shorts, but on their shirt pans the scene of a wooded area with trees and much greenery. 

The same person sits cross legged. We don't see their face, only the dark hair on their shins and thighs and their white shorts. Their shirt shows a moving image of a persons legs in hiking boots, upside down on the familiar dirt floor. They lunch and bring their feet together and a cloud of dust appears. The shirt shifts and becomes another moving image - one of the high way and clouds from the beginning of the film. The person caresses their forearms. 

The next clips are a series of the white femme in the dark interior space, backlit by a window. The video cuts to black every few moments, as they lean back, bend forward, and spin around on the dirt. The final image shows them spinning around in the interior space, it cuts to black as a bright light appears from the window. 

The film is done.
